Bob Lentz is our headlining speaker and served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber, Identity and Information Assurance in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Networks and Information Integration/Chief Information Officer. In addition, Mr Lentz previously served as the first Chief Information Security Officer for the Department of Defense and, in this capacity, oversaw the department’s $3 billion Information Assurance & Cybersecurity programs. He started his career with the NSA in 1975 and has since accumulated 34 years of industry experience. Mr Lentz is on the Board at multiple cybersecurity companies, has spoken at the RSA conference and cybersecurity conferences throughout the world.

John Walsh is the Chief Strategy Officer at Blackridge Technology. He leads new business initiatives at BlackRidge to support the growth of the company in applying its cyber defense technologies to Critical Infrastructure, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and blockchains, as well as supporting specific government business development activities around the world. Mr Walsh previously served Vice President of the Secure Technologies Group at Analog Devices, and President of Sypris Electronics. He is recognized as a leader in identity based crypto architectures, holding patents and having participated in leading security architecture implementations for IIoT and Smart Grid applications.

Bob Lentz is highly sought after speaker in the cybersecurity community, but now lives near Tampa and wants to help bring together commercial and government defense groups locally. As the first CISO of the Department of Defense he served both George W Bush and Barack Obama during his tenure from 2000 – 2009. Mr Walsh has primarily worked in the private sector. The companies he has led have helped secure NIPRNet and SIPRNet and he has an excellent understanding of private/public partnerships in cybersecurity. His current role now focuses on developing standards for the protection of critical infrastructure using cutting edge technologies.IIOT
